It seems like every other year we buy new computers, new monitors, etc... Since all we use them for is word processing, and since they do not do the job any better than the old ones, lets stop the computer merry go round!

The BLM spends huge sums of money keeping tens of thoursands of wild horses imprisoned in mass lots. These are wild animals who are meant to be free...we should not be spending taxpayer money to round them up and to imprison them until they die. Rather than letting the livestock industry ride roughshod over federal lands, let's allow the wildlife to remain in its natural habitat and restrict cattle grazing. Return the ...more »

Rather than letting the livestock industry ride roughshod over federal lands, let's allow the wildlife to remain in its natural habitat and restrict cattle grazing. Return the wild horses to their native habitats to live their natural lives (perhaps with some reproductive controls) and stop overgrazing at its source--the federally coddled cattle industry.

Each government safe bears a GSA sticker saying that the safe is an approved security container. If that sticker falls off, the safe is no longer a safe! Rather than simply gluing the sticker back on at the cost of a few pennies, my agency recently purchased ten new safes at the cost of thousands of dollars to replace ones whose stickers had fallen off. It did this because this is what regulations required. The new safes are no safer than the old ones, and they too have GSA stickers. Once those stickers come unglued, we will have to spends thousands more to replace them. Crazy.
