Stop Using Military Aircraft as Personal Transport
It is time to stop the perk of Military Commander's using their Fighter Aircraft as personal transport when they go TDY. If a Squadron Commander needs to fly from Nellis to Langley, he/she can get on a civilian flight like the rest of us. It is time to stop the perk of Military Commander's using their Fighter Aircraft as personal transport when they go TDY. If a Squadron Commander needs to fly from Nellis to Langley, he/she can get on a civilian flight like the rest of us. At (conservatively) $10,000 per hour of flight for a US Fighter aircraft it is way to cost prohibitive. We need to stop all these cross country flights that military pilots use to hang with buddies and go to golf tournaments. I've seen it with my own eyes as I've personally loaded golf clubs into travel pods for these cross country flights.
