  Trim the FBI

  The FBI has the largest budget of the Fedreal Law Enforcement Agencies. The DEA does drug cases, why is the FBI? The ATF does gun cases, why is the FBI? The US Marshals does fugitive cases, why is the FBI? And the list goes on, and on, and on. This is an agency that needs to refocus, and if their budget is cut, and they are told to knock off the other stuff and focus on intelligence - then maybe the goverment can ...more »

  The FBI has the largest budget of the Fedreal Law Enforcement Agencies. The DEA does drug cases, why is the FBI? The ATF does gun cases, why is the FBI? The US Marshals does fugitive cases, why is the FBI? And the list goes on, and on, and on. This is an agency that needs to refocus, and if their budget is cut, and they are told to knock off the other stuff and focus on intelligence - then maybe the goverment can save about 100 million - 500 million a year.

  Metal over Paper

  Time Magazine just ran an article - basically saying we can save billions by simply replacing the one dollar paper bill with a one dollar metal coin. The problem they say is 'change' - because no one likes to change. In every country that has successfully implemented the change, the government has just done it. Save billions and make us Overall more Competitive -- make the one dollar coin a reality.
