Alright we all want to see some posotive changes from this idea site. So copy this link and send it out to everyone you know and encourage them to sign on and get thier ideas heard. Send it to your Local, send it to your coworkers and any other government employee. Lets get the word out people.

With all the talk of furloughs for federal employees, I offer another way to save millions if not billions of dollars. Eliminate two federal holidays from the list of paid holidays we currently receive. This will save on those employees who get double time on thses days, as well it will have workers in the offices/worksites being productive.

Currently the Bureau of Prisons spends millions of dollars, on a contract medical company. This companies only purpose is to schedule oppointments for inmates with medical providers. We have staff who are paid to do this job, at a smaller cost and do the job far better.

Within the Bureau of Prisons, there are over 1400 management employess in Washing DC, and over 200 within the 6 regional offices. This is in addition to the 30 managers at each of the 110 BOP institutions.That is approximately 5900 managers not including those at Grand Prarie and other specially created departments. This has to stop, and I am sure it is the same in other federal agencies. If you want to streamline the Government, it starts at the top.
