Overhaul Unnecessarily Complex Laws and Regulations
Complex laws and regulations hobble government employees and operations. Massive amounts of government resources and employee time are wasted in the executive and judicial branches on interpreting and implementing laws and regulations that are too complex even for the experts. Complex laws and regulations hobble government employees and operations. Massive amounts of government resources and employee time are wasted in the executive and judicial branches on interpreting and implementing laws and regulations that are too complex even for the experts. The executive branch needs to take the lead and spearhead efforts to simplify its regulations while wiorking with Congress to simplify laws. If obfuscation is the goal of a particular law or regulation, shame on the drafter(s). Examples of too complex laws and regulations are known to most -- tax code, F.A.R., healthcare regulations, and immigration laws. The government needs to stand-up and do what is right long term rather than what is convenient in the short term.
