The Department of Homeland Security, is being hampered in it's performance by the bureaucracy of the Department of Homeland Security. This agency is vastly over staffed. I should be no more that 50 people, 10 each representing CIA, DOJ, DOD, FBI, and INS.

The procurement rule of the GSA are Wasteful, Fraudulent, and Abusive. I often have to procure materials and services for our organization, I am able to find what I need to procure in the open market for 10-30% less than the GSA price every single time.

We need to reinstitute Import Tariffs to make indigenous manufacturing competitive. These tariffs must extend to US companies that manufacture or otherwise base any aspect of their operations outside our borders. The Tariffs need to be substantial in the 40-50% range. Any company with over 3000 employees should be broken up into smaller less diversified concerns. For example GE needs to loose any authority to sell any ...more »
