  Ceased vehicles distributed to GOV agencies first, sold next

  Assign all ceased vehicles to Gov agencies instead of selling them for profit. First priority of every ceased vehicle should be to go to the field for use by any/all Gov agency then if deemed unfit for use can be sold for profit. Federal Agents and other Law Enforcement personnel are being forced to drive vehicles with well over 100K miles and have just been informed that there is no money for replacements any time soon. ...more »

  Furlough Welfare

  There has been great debate over furloughing hard working, honest federal workers to save money. Why not furlough the welfare system for 2 weeks? If saving money is the motivation and yet another sacrifice has to be made of the same individuals that have already been denied pay increases for 2 years then the people that sit home and collect free money should have to sacrifice for the greater good too.

  As an Immigration and Customs Enforcement employee I’ve asked myself how many people enter the United States every day; now I ask you how many? Imagine the revenue if we collected just one dollar (or any set fee) for every person, citizen or not that enters every US boarder/port and not just Canadians. There are endless advantages, safeguards and opportunities to every individual that crosses into the US and a nominal ...more »

  As an Immigration and Customs Enforcement employee I’ve asked myself how many people enter the United States every day; now I ask you how many? Imagine the revenue if we collected just one dollar (or any set fee) for every person, citizen or not that enters every US boarder/port and not just Canadians. There are endless advantages, safeguards and opportunities to every individual that crosses into the US and a nominal fee for processing/entry would not be unreasonable to expect in return. For example; as a traveler on many roads and bridges we are required to pay a toll for maintenance/accommodations and those roads/bridges provide only a few miles of access. Once on US soil anyone can reasonably dial 911 and expect to be provided with professional service and accommodations free of charge.

  I’m sure you have had this suggested before but as an employee that works with boarder patrol and immigration I can’t help but consider how much revenue would be collected from the constant flow of entrants to the US daily.
