The iterative life cycle products delivered by small teams in stages should be 'field-tested' prototypes with iterative complexity, which undergo regular status updates/customer reviews and lead to to strong functional requirements development (don't write requirements documents first!) Cut management overhead (and redundant CM board reviews+) using these PMBOK agile PM methodologies. To succeed the Team Lead/PM must have strong leadership and innovation skills by which to empowered individuals (smaller team/project leaders) from the relevant business and supplier and customer input must be received. Watch the return of innovation, accountability, and personal employee investment & self-motivation while dramatically reducing the cost and schedule!
