Eliminate x-ray transfer between Bureau of Prison Facilities
As most facilities are now utilizing digital x-ray equipment, access to inmate radiographs is done via computers. However, we are still shipping old radiographs via USPS each time an inmate transfers to a new facility. Average cost to ship one file is $7-$10. Recommend that all current xray that are printed on film remain at the institution they are currently in or sent to a centralized archive facility.
