Cross-Training
I believe that a cross-training initiative should be created. With a large portion of the Federal workforce ready to retire within the next 10 years, cross-training would be a major benefit. A workforce with a wider knowledge base can be shifted more efficiently where needed. This will benefit the government as well as the employee. I believe that a cross-training initiative should be created. With a large portion of the Federal workforce ready to retire within the next 10 years, cross-training would be a major benefit. A workforce with a wider knowledge base can be shifted more efficiently where needed. This will benefit the government as well as the employee. Management will be able to fill holes quickly as people retire, leave, or switch jobs. Employees will gain a greater knowledge base of the functions of their office. Building knowledge will not only give the employee a greater understanding of their office, but also aid in potential job advancements in the future for the employee. We will be able to respond efficiently to voids, as well as prepare our future leaders.
