People who collect unemployment must certify they are ready willing and able to work. To qualify for SSA Disabilty you must certify you are disabled and unable to do any type of work. Since these certifications are completely contradictory, once an applicant certifies they are disabled and unable to work, their unemployment should be ceased or their disability claim should be denied.

Currently SSA utilizes a payment center staffed by Benefit Authorizers (BA) who manually authorize payments on approved Title II claims while SSI claims under Title XVI are automated.
