I agree with the proposition to charge admission fees to all Smithsonian museums. Most museums in developed countries have admission fees. We can have a moderate but affordable fee (I.e., $5.00 fee). I agree with the proposition to charge admission fees to all Smithsonian museums. Most museums in developed countries have admission fees. We can have a moderate but affordable fee (I.e., $5.00 fee). Also, many libraries offer the latest movies in DVD. The “educational” content of many of these movies is arguably. If DVD’s are available at libraries these should charge a fee to rent them. The fee should be lower than the DVD rental in a kiosk or private company like Blockbuster or Red Box.
Another option is for Libraries to introduce a program were books (hard copies) are free but digital media like DVD’s and CD’s are rent out to patrons that pay an annual fee.
