USPS Letter Carrier self-management
Five or six years ago, the USPS did a self-management test program at a limited number of stations nationwide. In Western NY it worked great; the Carriers would come to work and get the job done without a Supervisor. It worked so well in fact, the USPS didn't implement it. In Western NY it worked great; the Carriers would come to work and get the job done without a Supervisor. It worked so well in fact, the USPS didn't implement it. If Letter Carriers can complete their routes without a Supervisor, the USPS should cut those jobs, instead of talking about 5 day delivery, and constantly cutting craft jobs. Our ranks have taken huge decreases in manpower. Now it's management's turn to take one for the team!
