  Vendors Reform

  The Top Management Challenges Facing the DOC, listed the top 8 department-wide challenges. The section on Acquisitions & Contracts said that ... the Department has not done enough to ensure suspended or debarred contractors do not obtain government contracts or assistance agreements.   Before the Departments/Bureau perform daily pull from CCR.gov, update the tables. I believe that a revamp of the CCR.gov website would go a long way in helping to correct this issue.

  LET PRISONERS FIGHT OUR WARS

  Prisoners should be overseas fighting our wars, in combat areas. After the war is over, if the prisioners come back alive, then they have won their freedom, once they return. However, if wounded before the war is over, then they go back to prision.

  PATENTS THAT SAVES ENERGY

  When there is an invention patented that can reduce US reliance on oil or other energy products, do not allow companies or individuals to buy the patent, only to let it sit on a shelve, not implemented.

  PATENTS Unleashed

  When there are inventions patented that could save lives do not allow companies or individuals to buy the patents, only to let them sit on shelves, and not be implemented.

  Full Utilization of Employee Badges

  Currently our ID badges are only used to gain access to the building and the elevators. There are several process that could be eliminated or reduces if we would implement a process to fully utilize our badges electronic scanning feature. 1. Would reduce timekeepers process 2. Would capture the time that we begin work and end work 3. Would eliminate paper sign-in and reduce paper used. 4. In case of an emergency, would ...more »

  Copiers & Printers Reform

  1. Make all printing doublesided

  2. Stop printing separator pages

  3. Stop the printing of color copies.

  Color Copies should only be used when presentations are given to those outside the government or by senior mmgt.
