Camden NJ has mandated 22 days furloughed a year until they get their budget under control.
Save money.

I say cut out the paperpushers. Update our computers to eliminate the paper and work. Even with major increased contributions from the Federal Government, our students have not shown substantial improvements. Money is not the answer. We have failed them in their schooling, we can get a second chance to help them. The young are our nation's future. The military can benefit a person for a lifetime. ...more »

Discipline, integrity, independence, character, etc.

GOVT. $$$ BOTTOMLINE: the tax dollars that the paperpushers contribute will be collected from our future military. We will not lose the tax dollars.

If you do not come to work during the furlough, you DO NOT get paid. period. SSA payment center , one of the seven in the country, have been told to come in to work regardless of a furlough. In the past, everyone got paid EVEN if you did not come to work. SO, The TOP SALARIED people under the Regional Commisionner have been told NOT to come in. Over the years, it is very hard to watch people take liberties at the taxpayers' expense. The government again condones or encourages "get over mentality".

The best and most abundant ideas will come from the newcomers, internet or independents. Government workers stay in the box most of the time to work accurately. They get used to go along to get along.
