Take top 25 submissions and top 25 contributors for discussion

I agree to have my idea, not my name or information, posted online.:
Yes

I like most ideas on this website. I think that most ideas have come from somebody who is trying to do a great job at what they do.

It has become so difficult to navigate through that, I have decided to take 15 minutes out of my day to dedicate to this at home on my own time.

I believe that the top 25 contributors and top 25 idea submitters should be invited to bring their heads together and discuss what is really important to their agency and to the federal government as a whole.

  1. Keep in mind that the most popular ideas are not necessarily the best. What we need is the right ideas and those are not always knowable by masses.

An historical example of this concept would be:

Kasparov vs. The World; where one person's ideas beat thousands of others. Together, we can only be as good as our average intelligence, but one person or a few of the right people can be brilliant.

  2. One of the "top contributors" on this website does not seem to have pay any attention to the reality that our Active Duty troop level is at some of the lowest peace time strength ever in history, while having to support committments in several countries, fight two 1/2 wars. We have contributors who want non-existent troops guard Federal court houses. I really wonder what planet some of the contributors exist on.

  4. I would not be in the top 25 contributors/submittors, but I know the value of my input. There are many, many suggestions that I choose not to add comments -- a few from the "top" -- because I feel they go off topic, are based on a gross lack of information or seem to be on the verge of sour grapes rather than a reasoned, well researched idea. Quantity, as they say, is not quality.

  5. I agree with this! There could be an idea conference and see how we could implement these ideas to actually start moving forward with them.
