Yes

Social Security Disabilty needs major reform. Too many people play the system and it is costing millions! What am I talking about? Overpayment's being wavied for people who worked while getting benefits knowing that they couldn't go over certain limits. Criminals receiving benefits while in jail, people who receive their check then lie and say they never got it just to get another check in the same month. All true things going on right now.

    SSA has a systems interface where we sometimes pay prisons money to tell us about SSA and SSI beneficiaries who are inmates. Seems strange to me that we have to pay a government agency money to tell us a convicted felon is in prison illegally receiving money. The bulk of large overpayments I see are due to the long time it takes to review people who have been working and receiving dib. They usually reported their work timely, are honest about it, it just takes us forever to get the data and make a determination. I believe our forms for obtaining medical information are a bad joke.
