Save money - equipment

Phones - replace all desktop phones with cell phones and even blackberries where necessary. Cell phone technology is in - land line technology is out. It's coming. Desktop landlines will be a thing of the past in the very near future. Cost for equipment purchase, connection, maintenance, space, etc. could be virtually eliminated. All that we get from a desktop landline is available via almost any model of cell phone and/or via internet.

Several cell companies offer unlimited phone, internet, texting, and more for $50 per month. Do the math - it's a no brainer.

  1. Not good. cell phone coverage is not reliable everywhere for some remote agencies, and it is more costly as well as increased EMFs

Service areas are expanding everyday. It's quickly becoming abnormal for there to be weak coverage areas. Land lines - like long distance, pay phones, phone books, wires, etc. - will someday soon be a thing of the past. There will be a day when our desk top digital phones with land lines will only be available in thrift shops and antique stores. Imagine a cellular turtle phone on the conference table? Or' better yet, video teleconferencing via the internet that is accessed via a wireless network? If Wii and Netflix can do it - surely the US Government can too.
