There are a number of ways Gov't Agencies can reduce cost without touching Employees pay raises or benefits or valuable programs that service the public. And, make the Gov't run more efficient and effective. For Example: Gov't Agencies across the board need to review their service contracts for cost savings. Most contracts can either be reduced by half or even eliminated which would save time and money in administering them. Contractors have become a valuable commodity since they virtually replace Gov't workers that are not pulling their own weight. Meaning, instead of Supervisors going through HR and do what needs to be done for non productive employees, agencies will just hire contractors to do the job. Then, public funds are not only used to pay non productive employees, but used to pay contractors as well. And, those Employees administering contracts are over worked with all the legalities, etc.
Agencies need to get their noses to the grind stone and start working on it.
