Its a bad solution to a bad problem. Find a better way to eliminate discrimination and harassment in the work place. It costs the taxpayers money every time some one says something ignorant to a fellow employee.

More specifics are needed on this suggestion to be effective. A vote "for", just means a vote against EEO.

currently EEO is ineffective at best. less than 1% of EEO claims upheld.

Communication, feedback and and new ideas from the workforce can, and will, bring positive changes needed in our work. Service to America it the key, and ultimate reason for most all federal workforce and the ideas submitted in this project have all been very good suggestions.
The DOD agency needs a suggestion program to take any subject idea.
This project will benefit many subjects for increased positive changes needed in many subject areas. Thanks to all who are working this effort.

A fellow ET (Electronics Technician) out west somewhere had applied for the boss position at my office. My office selected someone else. This guy reportedly filed an EEO complaint - he's hispanic (big deal). The next thing ya know my agency made him the head of the Electronics Program for our Region! There was nothing special about this El Tec (in fact he was so-so according to several who knew him) ..and.. no other El Tec was even considered for such a position. There were senior El Tecs way ahead of him. I dared challenge the EEO "Diversity Plan" partly because of crap like that and I have been literally abused by my agency ever since. I have a really wide range of experience and have been the regional employee of the year, I've submitted dozens of substantial improvement plans and recommendations, etc. In other words, I know what I'm doing and I'm worth the money. My wife and I recently decided we wanted to move south, kids gone. etc. I have applied for 41 positions and have been interviewed twice and denied both of those times. But ya know what? I'm glad I did all that. Hope it pissed them off. - it obviously did. I hate the whole concept of affirmatiove action - it so blatantly and ridiculously discriminatory that it's beyond debate.

I have seen them make the EEO complaint person a first level and then a second level and have no expierence at all just to keep them from complaining. it is a rediculas system and it is abused.
