Remember the days of the $500+ DoD hammer back in the 80s? We're just duplicating that with IT installation and support costs. A $1000 laptop (at most) at certain agencies costs $400 a month to 'maintain.'
The government needs to go back to managing its own IT infrastructure (desktops, laptops, etc.) vice relying on contractors, corporations (e.g. Oracle) for software support.
