If the average citizen knew that there are organizations charging $20,000.00 or more per computer for software programs to support basic analytical functions they would fire all of us. In my line of work I have seen desktops were the actual computer cost less than $1000.00 yet the software alone drives the system up to over $60,000.00. This does not even take into consideration the 10-20% annual maintenance fee.
