Get Rid of GSA or take away the Mandatory 1st stop to shop rule

I agree to have my idea, not my name or information, posted online.:
Yes

This is an out dated method used to spend more money on items than we need. Not only are the prices nearly a third more than in the private sector (or more), but the waste of time it takes to go through the ordering system is ridiculous. Today you can find anything you want FAST and use competitive retailers. Allow us to go where we want to get what we want!

  1. Absolutely agree. This is no where close to the economic supply/demand chart. It's completely opposite.

  3. Anonymity makes one so brash! I changed the title does that make you feel better? I take it you work in GSA. Can you tell me why everything is so much more expensive? P.S. Spell Check and punctuation are our friends.

  4. Depending on the area, GSA is generally slow, especially when it comes to finding realty properties. We cringe at the thought of having to find new space because of GSA's slow responsiveness and those "fees".

GSA is an olde dinosaur which needs to be revamped.

  5. It is time to eliminate the very bureaucratic small business designations that give priorities to minorities, women etc. They basically just become a middle man between the government and the business supplier. They receive extra assistance and contracts because of their designation and then often fail to follow laws such as paying payroll taxes. It is time to eliminate these designations and buy directly from the US best provider. Buy US not minority. That should be the requirement!
