Federally hire Americans for term contracts for grand infrastructure projects; i.e. interstate aquaduct, smart power grid, internet outreach, bridge, railway, and highway upgrades. Involve private/public partnerships in the development, engineering, oversight, and completion of these projects. Lease or sell the rights of completed projects to private companies or States, where feasible.
It rebuilds the sense of nationalism, improves our competitiveness, reduces unemployment without creating permanent federal jobs, and involves private venture capital and expertise. It will returns our initial outlays through employment, taxes, increased productivity and competitiveness, possible leases and sales of finished works.
