Let's give a laptop to every human being... It's that simple. 7 billion people, estimate, say, 300 dollars for the cheapest wireless internet recieving laptop on the market... 2.1 trillion dollars, and the entire human community enters the 21st century all at once. Everyone on the planet has every book in the public domain at their fingertips, for free. Our currency is now the standard of the world, and the world has tolerated us printing that currency to fund wars, and bankrupt corporations. I think they will tolerate us printing some more to give every human being on the planet a usefull tool for gathering and sharing knowledge. When living in a faith based economy, one's economy better be doing something that actually deserves that faith. This 2 trillion dollars in inflation, will raise the value of the dollar worldwide, in the long run.

Computers, have you been in the grocery store lately people are hungry. My neighbor just got thrown out of the Home they lived in for thirty years because they could no longer pay their mortage and bills.

If people are hungry... It's mostly because they are idiots, it's not because renewable sources of food don't surround them constantly. Computers can and do teach people almost every skill that humanity has aquired, absolutely free. Skills like farming, fishing, solar concentration, etc... These are the skills you need if you want to pay your mortgage off, or buy food.
We have to stop fighting symptoms and start fighting root causes. The root cause of starvation and poverty, in a society that has access to infinite information, is ignorance.
"Give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime" some other famous guy, think he was a Kardashian.
